Petworth Neighborhood Library

The Petworth Neighborhood Library was designed by Nathan C. Wyeth, best known for designing the West Wing of the White House and creating the first Oval Office. Since it’s opening in 1939, the building has been fully renovated and reopened in 2011. But, this historic landmark hosts alot more than just books. It is also the destination for various yoga and craft classes.
President Lincoln’s Cottage

Located on a picturesque hilltop, resident Lincoln’s Cottage offers a distinctive look at Lincoln’s life and legacy in an authentic place — his home. This beloved home was used by Lincoln’s family and served as an important entertaining venue during the Civil War. Most visitors experience the site through tours, but there is also a robust schedule of public programs throughout the year.
